“Southwestern’s new Brown Dense well dwarfs past results
Southwestern Energy reported a peak rate exceeding 1000 boepd from its third well targeting the Lower Smackover Brown Dense, far exceeding rates achieved earlier this year. The BML 31-22 1-1H well in Union Parish, Louisiana, was drilled to 10,,400 feet TVD with a 4300 foot lateral and fracked with 19 stages in June. After 41 days flowing up casing, the top 24 hour rate was 1,071 boepd (421 bbl of oil + 3.9 MMcfgd)….the BML well peaked 83% higher than the second well.”
